MAJOR STATE POLICY ISSUES' BEHIND PLANNING MINISTER'S CALL IN OF BANCO'S PLANS
Planning Minister Rob Hulls writes to VCAT re Banco's planning permit application for Smith and Little Oxford Streets, Collingwood.
The Minister informs VCAT 'I have formed the view that the application raises major State policy issues and that the determination fo the review may have a substantial effect on the achievement of State planning objectives', and that 'accordingly, under Clause 58(2)(a) fo the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Act 1998 I direct you to refer the Application for Review [Banco's plans] to the Governor in Council for determination'.
