CAG seeks urgent meeting with local member Wynne
CAG wrote to the local State Member for Richmond, Richard Wynne, requesting an urgent meeting to discuss Bancos appeal to VCAT. CAG also asked Wynne to broker a meeting with Minister for Planning Rob Hulls about calling in the Banco application and allowing the community adequate time to develop an Urban Design Framework for the Smith Street precinct. Wynne has repeatedly stated his opposition to the Banco development proposal on the grounds that it is too big and out of character for the area, and promised he will ask the Minister for Planning to call it in.
